The breakfast was well-prepared and generous, a solid way to start the day. The off-road parking at the back of the guest house is a convenient perk, making it easy to access the main attractions without worrying about parking on the street.
The guest house's exterior looks a bit rundown, leading to a less than appealing first impression. Inside, the decor feels dated, lacking the kind of refreshing design that would elevate the experience. Several guests have also mentioned issues with inconsistent hot water, which can be a real hassle when you're in need of a proper shower. the noise from outside traffic could be bothersome for those sensitive to sound, especially with thin walls that don't do much to mute the disturbances. There seems to be a lack of attention to detail in maintenance, as noted by some guests indicating minor hygiene concerns in rooms.

Just a well-suited match for a brief retreat in Shrewsbury with good value. The free wifi was a nice touch, making it easy to catch up on some work. Grab a coffee from the breakfast spread—it's really good.

The truth, what’s good and what’s not
The staff was welcoming & I found the breakfast portions generous!
Unpleasant noise levels invaded my sleep. the decor could definitely use an update.

Decent Stay with a Few Hiccups
The friendliness of the staff made check-in a breeze, and the local guidebook in the room was packed with useful insights for exploring Shrewsbury.
The room felt cramped, and the noise from the road outside kept me up at night. the breakfast offerings were limited, and not all facilities were well-maintained.

the breakfast was amazin with big portions and they had a lot of options. felt super comfy in my small single room. val and helen, the owners, were really friendly and helpful, made me feel right at home. loved how clean everything was, the shower was powerful which was great after a long day! the location is perfect, close to town and places to eat.
the decor is kinda dated, could use some updating. parking is limited, and when it rains, it can be a hassle to find a space.

Decent stay with good vibes
Had a solid night here. The breakfast was super tasty and portion sizes were on point! The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Just wish the Wi-Fi was a bit stronger ‘cause we had some trouble streaming. enjoyed the comfy atmosphere and cozy dining area.

Stayed in a twin room. The beds were super clean and comfy, which was great after a long day of exploring. Shower room was clean and spacious too. Just a heads up, though—there was some water in the kettle from the last guests, and the teapot could've used a wash. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Breakfast wasn’t bad, a little greasy but tasty enough.
